Living a Lie

I'm not living a lie

I'm not living a lie

I'm not feeling it, not gonna deal with it

I won't live in a lie

What are we doing this for?

It's just no fun anymore.

It's not fulfilling, and I'm not willing so

What are we doing this for?

I . . .  won't sacrifice the things important to me

My . . . best advice is try to maintain your dignity, 'cause...

I'm not living a lie

Any more, I won't even try

I'm not takin' it, tired of fakin' it

I won't live in a lie

I'm not goin' away mad

Though I'll miss whatever we had

I'm not grievin', no, I'm just leaving, so

I'm not goin' away mad

(Instrumental)

I . . .  won't sacrifice the things important to me

My . . . best advice is, try to maintain your sanity, 'cause...

I'm not living a lie

I'm just saying goodbye

I'll be going now, happier knowing how

I'm not living a lie

Hard to explain where this song came from, but I think we all have times when we realize that "this" isn't where we need to be, what we need to be doing, or who we should be doing it with.  Being honest with yourself can be painful, but it can be freeing, too.  Really, it was just an excuse to play some fun guitar stuff.
