I'll Find a Way

Even on that first play it hit me right in the feels.

-AR, Arlington, TX

I've gotten so used to thinking about you

Asking about your day

I'm not used to living without you,

But I'll find a way

I hope that you're doing okay there without me

That there's sunshine to light your way

And if friends should ask you about me

You’ve kind words to say

But I have to get used to not thinking about you,

Not asking you about your day

I'm not used to living without you,

But I'll find a way

I'll find a way . . .

I hope that you find your one and only,

That he's everything you thought he'd be.

And if one of us should end up lonely,

I hope that it's me

May you be repaid for all of your kindness,

In the things that you say and do.

And if only one of us ... can truly be happy,

I hope that it's you.

There’s no use in thinking about you

Asking about your day

I'm not used to living without you,

But I'll find a way

I'll find a way . . .

Grieving over a lost love?  Part of the process is acceptance.  I think of this song not so much "I love you", but "I'll miss you."  And I always will.

We were just getting started on the album,, when I came in with new cheat sheets on a brand new song, and said, "We're doing this one - NOW."  After a couple run-throughs, everyone agreed that it was the right thing to do.  I can hear that the guys were feeling it, too.
